Operating principle and advantages
A clutch booster (often known as a servo booster) supports the actuation of the clutch hydraulically or pneumatically so that less pedal force is required. Particularly with high power or heavy vehicles, a booster ensures smoother and effortless clutching – for both the driver and the mechanics.
Integration into the system
For a clutch booster to function optimally, it must be matched to the existing clutch and hydraulic system. Pressure ratios, actuation stroke and feedback must harmonize so that the booster works correctly and no disruptive readjustment behaviour occurs.
