Create a connection
The pressure plate presses the clutch disk force-fit against the flywheel and thus transmits the torque from the engine to the transmission. When the clutch is actuated, the pressure plate releases the connection – the transmission is decoupled and gears can be changed.
Technology with responsibility
For the pressure plate to function perfectly, the spring force, friction surfaces, material grades and connection to the flywheel must be precisely matched. Slipping, uneven wear or noise can only be avoided with a clean fit, even pressure distribution and coordinated spring characteristics.
