Foundation of your motor mechanics
The crankcase, often part of the engine block, houses the crankshaft, connecting rods and bearings and absorbs the dynamic forces of the piston movement. It also serves as an oil reservoir and connects numerous assemblies – from the oil pan to sealing surfaces and mounting points for assemblies.
Technology, form & integration
To ensure reliable function over the long term, fits, wall thicknesses, sealing surfaces and bearing mounts must be manufactured with the utmost precision. Accessories such as seals, bearing shells, housing covers or sensor flanges must be precisely matched to the housing to prevent play, leaks or material stresses.
